Tuesday is Iced Tea Review day!
We’re quickly moving into the colder seasons here in the Northern hemisphere. That doesn’t mean we don’t still need some good iced tea though! This relaxing roasted green tea from ITO EN hit the spot recently.

The color is a beautiful light gold. So crisp and clear it reminded me of apple juice.
The aroma was light, slightly fomented with hints of peach and either honey or nectar. I didn’t find much else here, but it was rather pleasing on its own.
The flavor was roasty and strong without the pronounced vegetal properties so commonly posessed by green teas. This tea also has some bite with a pronounced tailed finish.
I would heartily recommend this bottled green tea to anyone seeking a new beverage to try or a relaxing iced green tea with that extra something.

We like the Itoen tea’s teas very much. The Hoji is one of our favorites to have cold. Naturally low in calories, yet full of flavor, we’d go with the larger bottle.
Some of our clients are experimenting with Hoji as a base for fermented tea.

I drink this sometimes. I love hoji tea… Especially iced, of course. In fact, I had some today. The roasted flavor is stronger than the other Ioten teas and thus hides the slight flavor alteration from being contained in that plastic container for months…
