2011 World Tea Expo (Day 3)

This year’s World Tea Expo is my 3rd trip to this event. I’ve appreciated the opportunities to learn and meet new people each year. I’ve made friends and contacts from every corner of the world and every continent save for Antarctica. The events and sights from this first day of the expo are similar to those from the past two years. Full of energy, vibrant colors and effusive scents tantalizing for everyone here. Golden Monkey #510 (Special Teas)

Golden Monkey is a classic Chinese black tea. The golden tips in this tea from Special Teas are much more downy than last year’s batch. Providing a less astringent brew and one which is mildly sweeter on the palate.

Earl Grey de la Creme (Special Teas)

Earl Grey is a staple tea in many tea houses and households the world over. Typically a light Chinese black tea is flavored with oil of the bergamot orange from Italy. This Earl Grey de la Creme from Special Teas is a creamier version of this aged classic which could be an everyday tea for some.
