World Tea Expo 2010 Shoutout (Updated)Monday, June 14th, 2010Hello from sunny Las Vegas, Nevada! Man alive! This weekend was a complete whirlwind of awesome activity. I reinvigorated relationships with many industry friends from my trip to the World Tea Expo in 2009, and created many new and lasting friendships. I know I’ll be coming back again next year. News: Lexington Sees New Tea House!Monday, February 8th, 2010This morning I had the pleasure of reading about a new tea house opening down in Lexington. I’ll be planning to make a trip over the next couple months. The shop, MonTea, opened in the hip college neighborhood of Chevy Chase features almost exclusively Elmwood Inn teas. Such a close relationship is reportedly very rare, but I think bodes well for the little shop. Danielle Montague had been thinking of just such a shop for a number of years prior to her layoff from a local public radio organization. She approached Bruce Richardson from Elmwood Inn (located nearby in Perryville, KY), an old contact regarding the idea and the two progressed from there. Here is a link to the original story over at World Tea News. News: Fully Loaded Tea available in stores in Ohio!Monday, December 28th, 2009I’ve reviewed some of the beautiful sister’s blends earlier this year. Both their Tomato Rebel Black Tea and their Cucumber Mojo White Tea impressed me. Earlier this month the delicious duo announced the availability of their blends at Bigg’s stores, Jungle Jim’s and the Keller’s IGA locations in the greater Cincinnati area. That just happens to be my neck of the woods! I took a trip around the corner to my local Bigg’s right after receiving the good news from the sisters’ marketing agent and what did I find? Fantastic placement of their teas on a short shelf (harder to get lost on than taller shelves)!
