Pu’erh teas take a certain amount of getting used to. Their earthen and mossy flavors and aromas form a fine line for most people between delicious and disgusting. In fact, they’re a bit of a love it hate it kind of experience. As far as that goes though, this mini bird’s nest toucha Mini Puerh from Imperial Tea is a wonderful starter for new pu’erh drinkers. Pu’er is an aged tea. I haven’t reviewed many Pu’er teas here yet as I simply just don’t have very many. This magnificent Pu’er was provided to me by Lily and Peter over at PeLi Teas. It won 1st place in the 2009 World Tea Championships. (more…)

Aged Pumpkin Rum Pu’erh (Tea-Guy / Adagio Teas)

Adagio Teas has this neat feature on their website they call “Signature Blends.” With this, you can select the ingredients you want in your own custom tea, and even provide a label image for them to use on the packaging. I put together several mediocre teas before I created this wonderful Aged Pumpkin Rum Pu’erh. (more…)

Organic Shou Coin Pu’erh (David’s Tea)

Regardless of most of your tastes with tea, Pu’erh (poo-air) seems to be a love it or hate it thing. In the case of this artificially aged coin style Pu’erh, I’d say odds are high you’ll enjoy it. That is, if you enjoy a nice black coffee.
